In the poems found throughout Jayoon¡¯s ¡¶The Attic Inside¡·, there is a central narrative of love found and lost. While this age-old story is told in a voice that reflects a certain nescience of youth, the vocabulary of her work perfectly captures the discovery of the heart and the subsequent agony of its breaking.

In her collection, Jayoon writes of the blusterous changes in the seasons of love and in doing so captures adolescence in both its naive purity and terrifying turbulence. I am sure that many young readers will find a kindred spirit in these pages.

With great artistic sensibility and charm, Jayoon takes the mundane thoughts that we come face to face with and transforms them into something original. In her first book of poetry filled with remarkable poetic sentiments, ¡¶The Attic Inside¡·, not only has she splendidly displayed her deep contemplations and epiphanies on life and love, but she has also shown her full potentiality of reaching a wider audience.
