책소개

미국의 역사 학자들이 보는 한국사의 흐름을 정리한 책. 1999년에 출판된 <미국에서의 한국사 연구>를 보완하여 새롭게 펴냈다. 이 책에서는 1974년부터 2001년 사이에 미국에서 출판된 한국사 연구 단행본 15권을 주제별로 묶어, 미국 학계의 경향이 체계적으로 드러나도록 서술하였다. 지난 번 책에서 다루었던 Wagner 교수의 조선초기 정치사에 대한 원고는 더욱 심층적으로 새롭게 썼으며, 나머지 10권에 대한 평은 그대로 살렸다.
