책소개

일반적으로 우리는 시라고 하면 시어가 은유적으로 표현되어 무슨 의미인지 쉽게 이해할 수 없어야 좋은 시라고 생각하는 경향이 있습니다. 하지만 저는 생각이 조금 다릅니다. 제5부 번역시에 있는 조선시대 이안눌이 쓴 기가서(寄家書)를 보면 누가 읽어도 그 의미를 잘 이해할 수 있지요. 좋은 詩란 독자가 그것을 읽고 나서 자신의 마음속에 뭔가를 생각하게 만들 수 있어야 하지 않나 생각합니다. 그리고 세월이 지나도 그 시에 대한 인상과 느낌이 오래 남아 있다면 그 시는 좋은 시라 하겠습니다.
제가 시를 쓰게 된 동기는 선친이 남기고 가신 시를 외국어로 번역하기 위함이었습니다. 시 번역 실력을 키우기 위해 제가 쓴 시와 다른 시인이 쓴 시 여러 편을 번역하였습니다. 작년에 문예춘추에 시인으로 등단하면서 저는 詩作 목표를 “예술을 통한 인간성 회복과 한국문학의 세계화”로 정하였습니다. 한자와 한글로 된 유구한 기록문화유산을 가진 우리나라에서 아직까지 노벨문학상 수상자 반열에 한국문인이 동참하지 못하고 있다는 사실에 대해 저는 많은 아쉬움을 갖고 있습니다.

“春夏秋冬そして”

一般に私たちは詩といえば、詩語が?喩的に表現されていて意味の分かり難い詩こそ、秀作の詩であると決めつける傾向があります。しかし、私は受け止め方が少し異なります。第５部の?詩のなかにある朝鮮時代の李安訥（イ?アンヌル）の作詩している『寄家書』に接すると、誰もが?んでもその意味が分かり易いのです。良い詩とはその詩を?みおえた?み手自らがなにか心中思惟するように作詩する、そのことではないだろうかと思っております。なお月日が流れても、その詩に?する好印象や風情が永らく心に留まっていれば、その詩は秀でた詩であるといえるでしょう。

私が詩を書こうとしたきっかけは、書き?している父親の詩を外?語に?するためでした。?詩のスキルを磨き上げるために自作詩と他作詩の?編を?しました。去年文芸春秋に詩人として登?した私は、作詩の目標を「芸術を通じた人間性の回復と韓?文?の世界化」に定めました。漢字とハングルとで遺している悠久なる記?文化の遺産を保持している我が?で、依然としてノ?ベル文?賞の受賞者に韓?の文人が仲間入りできずにいる事?について、私は甚だしく?念極まりのない?持ちを禁じえません。

“Spring Summer Autumn Winter and More”
Poetry Collection of Kyung Mok CHOO

In general, we tend to think that a poem is a good poem when we cannot easily grasp the meaning of its metaphor. But my point of view is a little different. If you read the poem "A letter to my mother" in Chapter 5 written by LEE An-nool who is a very famous poet of the Joseon Dynasty, you'll easily understand the meaning of it. I think that a good poem should allow readers to think of something in their minds after reading it. And if the impression and feeling of the poem still remain in the minds of readers even after years, the poem can be considered a good poem.
The motivation of my writing poems came from my desire to translate the poems that my father had left into foreign languages. In the hope of improving my translation ability of poems, I translated several poems written by myself and other poets. When I made my debut as a poet last year, I set the goal of my writing poems as "Restoration of human nature and globalization of Korean literature through artistic activity". As Korea has a long history of recorded cultural inheritance based on Chinese characters and Korean Hangul, I have a lot of regrets by the fact that Korean literati are still unable to join the Nobel laureates.

En g?n?ral, nous avons tendance ? penser qu'un po?me est un bon po?me lorsque nous ne pouvons pas facilement appr?hender le sens de sa m?taphore. Mais mon point de vue est un peu diff?rent. Si vous lisez le po?me "Une lettre ? ma m?re" dans le chapitre 5 ?crit par LEE An-nool qui est un po?te tr?s c?l?bre de la dynastie Joseon, vous arriverez ? appr?hender facilement la signification de celui-ci. Je pense qu'un bon po?me devrait permettre aux lecteurs de d?velopper quelque chose dans leur esprit apr?s l'avoir lu. Et si l'impression et le sentiment que l’on a ressentis du po?me restent encore dans les esprits des lecteurs, m?me apr?s des ann?es, alors le po?me peut ?tre consid?r? comme un bon po?me.
Ma motivation ? ?crire des po?mes est n?e de mon d?sir de vouloir traduire dans des langues ?trang?res les po?mes que mon p?re a eu ? laisser. Anim? de l’espoir de pouvoir am?liorer ma capacit? de traduction des po?mes, j'ai traduit plusieurs po?mes ?crits par moi et par d'autres po?tes. Quand je faisais mes d?buts en tant que po?te l'ann?e derni?re, j’ai fix? comme but pour mes po?mes ?crits : "La restauration de la nature humaine et la mondialisation de la litt?rature cor?enne ? travers l'activit? artistique". Comme la Cor?e a une longue histoire d'h?ritage culturel ?crit bas? sur les caract?res chinois et l’?criture cor?enne Hangul, j'?prouve beaucoup de regrets dus au fait que les lettr?s cor?ens soient encore incapables de rejoindre les laur?ats du prix Nobel.
